Description

Be Well Day

Join us to celebrate the university’s commitment to address wellness from a holistic perspective and create an environment that promotes and supports the health and well-being of all who study and work at our campuses.

The University’s approach to wellness is unique amongst post-secondary institutions in Canada, in that our wellness strategy embraces faculty, staff and students as a whole. By working together, we can improve our efforts to shift our university to a stronger place of wellness by bringing awareness and support to the entire campus community and beyond.

“Be Well” Launch and Keynote Speaker

10–11:30am
Physical Activity Complex, University of Saskatchewan Campus

Chad London, Dean of Kinesiology, will MC the event that will introduce the key component to the University’s new Wellness Strategy, Healthy Body, Healthy Life and Healthy Mind.

Allan Kehler – a renowned mental health professional, author and college instructor— will share his personal journey of persevering through mental health issues and addictions. Kehler tells his story of how, as a struggling student, his life was changed by a simple interaction with a professor and how the impact of that conversation is still with him today. He will reassure his audience that nobody needs to be fixed, rather, how the value of being seen and heard is immeasurable.
