Event description
A day of community and connection as we care for the bees and trees that call Bela Farm home!

About this Event

Have some open time this summer and looking for meaningful ways to connect with people and nature? Join us at Bela Farm and help Shoresh care for our 11,000 trees in our Forest for the Future; 4-acres of wildflowers in our Bee Sanctuary; and thousands of honeybees in our Bela’s Bees Apiary. Help weed, water, and mulch, while soaking in the sweet sunshine and fresh air, and enjoying deep and thoughtful conversations amongst the grasses, flowers, and trees. Geared for b’nei mitzvahs, teens, and adults.

Please note that Bela Farm is a working farm. As such, there are tools on site and the ground is sloped and uneven. Distances between spaces can be large and there is minimal shade and seating. The farm is also home to many creatures and critters, including (but not limited to) bees, ticks, and a really friendly fluffy dog. There is a single outhouse on site, with a single step up. If you have any questions or concerns about site accessibility, please email us at info@shoresh.ca.

Participants must bring their own food and water (LOTS of water), as well as gloves (if possible).

Participants MUST pre-register as registration is capped to ensure we are able to comfortably socially-distance and still provide meaningful learning opportunities. We will NOT be registering participants at the gate.
