Pasha Malla’s writing has appeared in numerous journals, magazines and anthologies, including The New Yorker, McSweeney’s, The Walrus, the Journey Prize Stories, Best American Nonrequired Reading, Toronto Noir, Taddle Creek, and GreenTOpia.

His first collection of stories, The Withdrawal Method, was longlisted for the Scotiabank Giller Prize, shortlisted for The Commonwealth Writers’ Prize, and won both the Danuta Gleed Literary Award and the Trillium Book Award. Most recently Malla published his sophomore novel, Fugue States, and is the current Writer-in-Residence for Wilfred Laurier University.

Join us in welcoming him to the Brantford Public Library on Thursday, March 29th, 2018, in the 3rd Floor Auditorium at our Main Library location.

Doors will open at 7:00 pm. At 7:30 pm he is scheduled to speak with a signing to follow. Copies of his books will be available for purchase on site.

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?

No, however be advised that alcohol will be served at this event. The Brantford Public Library reserves the right to refuse service to anyone who is intoxicated, disruptive, or unable to provide proof of legal drinking age.

What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?

Limited street parking is available in the immediate area around the library.

A municipal parkade is located directly behind the library at 59 Icomm Drive, Brantford, Ontario, N3S 7N9. Parking is free for the first hour and $1.00/hour thereafter.
