About this Event

Bellwoods to Bentway Park Crawl w/ David Suzuki Foundation

September 29 @ 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm Free

Please note the new date, Saturday, September 29

The David Suzuki Foundation’s popular Park Crawl event is returning on September 29! This year’s butterfly-filled musical spectacle will include a parade from Trinity Bellwoods Park to The Bentway, across the new Garrison Crossing bridge.

Revellers will be able to decorate butterfly and bee-themed costumes at Trinity Bellwoods before the parade. The parade will leave at 2 p.m., winding its way through the neighbourhood and across the new Garrison Crossing bridge. Following the parade, participants can enjoy musical performances, food and drink and meet local community groups at The Bentway until 5 p.m.

Since 2013, three Park Crawls have brought hundreds of residents from park to park along the old Garrison Creek, with celebratory food, drink and kids’ activities.

This year’s Park Crawl will be a one-time theatrical musical spectacle led by local musicians Ben Lee and Kasey Dean Sikore. The parade will end with a performance at the Bentway site. Participants are invited to bring their own butterfly and bee-inspired costumes and decorations, and will be invited to paint and decorate DIY butterfly wings at the park before the parade.

*Bellwoods to Bentway Park Crawl is part of The Bentway's 2019 Community Incubation Program
