Benny Benack III:
By age 30, trumpeter and singer Benny Benack III has proven to be that rarest o talents: not only a fiery trumpet player with a stirring command of the post-bop trumpet vernacular, but also a singer with a sly, mature, naturally expressive delivery in the post-Sinatra mold, performing standards and his own astute songs with a thrilling sense of showmanship.
Benny performs internationally as an Emcee/Host for Postmodern Jukebox.
Alongside his global touring as a straight-ahead/contemporary bandleader, Benny has appeared as a trumpet soloist in commercial circles.
Sean Mason:
Born and raised in Charlotte, NC, Sean Mason taught himself by ear how to play the piano at the age of 13. His beginning musical roots included Gospel, Hip-Hop, and R&B music, but then he discovered jazz and decided to make a career of it. In his short but already groundbreaking career, Sean has played and toured with many jazz professionals, prominently including Branford and Wynton Marsalis, but among many others - and he is most noted for his ability to fluently play many different styles of music, spanning across varying time periods.
Alexander Claffy:
Alexander Claffy was raised in a musical household, and had many of his earliest lessons on bandstands in the heart of Philadelphia. As a teenager, Claffy was fortunate enough to find a mentor in many Philly natives, and has continued his study of the double bass with some of the world's finest musicians. Since moving to New York City in 2011, he has had the honor of working with many of his living heroes. In the past 3 years he has recorded for the several record labels.
Itay Morchi:
Originally from Tel-Aviv, Israel, Itay grew up in a very musical house. He started playing the drums at the age of six and was honored to study under the direction of the the finest musicians and teachers in Israel. In 2013 he moved to New York. While in New York Itay has performed with various musicians. In December of 2016 he was honored to join the trio of Jazz master - Johnny O'Neal.

Access
The VICC has multiple entry points, however the most convenient access to the Shaw Auditorium is via our main entrance at # 80 Commercial Street.
Parking
Convenient underground parking is available at the Conference Centre. Enter the parkade on Gordon Street, south of the main entrance. Street parking (maximum 2 hours) is also available on Commercial Street.
Ticket machines in the parkade take coins, bills, and credit cards.
