Bernie's Buddies Fall 2022 Children's Grief Peer Support Workshop Series

Bernie's Buddies is hosting its Fall 2022 kids' grief support workshop series. This group is for children ages 10 to 12.

Our workshops occur once per week for four weeks from 400pm to 515pm (registration is FREE and includes all four dates):

• Monday November 21
• Monday November 28
• Monday December 5
• Monday December 12

Participants can take part in facilitated activities in a peer group with other kids who've also experienced a death loss. Activities each week include:

• a visit with our therapy dog,
• yoga movement with mindfulness, and
• projects that explore creative grief conversation.

Participants receive a certificate of completion and a picture of our therapy dog.

Parents and caregivers are welcome to stay but are encouraged to take this time for themselves or perhaps connect with each other - there's several coffee shops in the area and pathways to explore on foot or bicycle.

**PLEASE NOTE REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED BY WEDNESDAY NOVEMBER 16.

What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?

There is paid street parking around the building, and free 2 hour parking spaces toward 9th St/2nd Ave NW (approximately 3 to 4 blocks ~ 7 minute walk). Calgary Transit has bus routes that access this location and the Sunnyside CTrain station is only 2 blocks away.
