Event description

Description

Women's Collective is thrilled to host Jill Krop, News Director & Station Manager at Global BC, in conversation with Chris Gailus, News Hour Anchor at Global BC News.

Networking 6:00pm - 6:30pm

Fireside Chat 6:30pm - 7:30pm

Trailblazing journalist, Jill Krop began her career in 1986 after graduating from BCIT. In early 2015, she was the first woman to be appointed to the role of News Director and Station Manager at Global BC, one of the most successful news operations in the country.

When not in the newsroom, Jill can be found out in the community supporting a number of local charities including the Coast Mental Health Foundation, and BC Sports Hall of Fame. She serves on the Board of Variety - The Children’s Charity, Burnaby General Hospital, and BC Children’s Hospital Foundation Marketing Board. The telethons for BC Children’s Hospital Foundation and Variety - The Children's Charity air on Global BC and combined, raise more than $25 million every year for the community.

This event series is a volunteer-led, inclusive community initiative with all proceeds to women's charities in British Columbia.
