Event description

Description

In October 2014, Canadian novelist and short story writer, Anthony De Sa, honoured us with his presence at the inaugural meeting of what would become the Muskoka Authors Association. At the 2014 event in Bracebridge, Anthony discussed his debut novel, Kicking the Sky. On Thursday, July 18, the celebrated author returns to Muskoka with his long-awaited second novel, Children of the Moon, a raw and compelling novel of love, war and the heartbreaking effects of memory. Anthony is a gifted storyteller and charismatic speaker. If you’ve never heard him speak, don’t miss this opportunity, if you have heard him, you’re no doubt already hooked.

Anthony De Sa grew up in Toronto’s Portuguese community. His short fiction has been published in several North American literary magazines. He attended The Humber School for Writers and now heads the English department and directs the creative writing program at a high school for the arts. Barnacle Love, his first book, was shortlisted for the Scotiabank Giller Prize. De Sa’s second book, Kicking the Sky, was a national bestseller. He lives in Toronto with his wife and three sons.
