Beverley McKeen lives in the Cowichan Valley and is a life-long musician. She has 3 excellent album projects to her credit. McKeen has written for TV and film. She composed the closing credits song for the upcoming movie release, ‘The Diary’. McKeen gets regular rotation on radio stations in BC, Alberta, Ontario and in the US. Beverley McKeen’s music is very memorable and catchy. She was nominated for Song of the Year, Vancouver Island Music Awards and won the Cowichan Juno for Best Musical Production of the year, in Folk. She has opened for Willie P. Bennett, who referred to her as a ‘good little guitar player’ as well as Luther Wright and Jim Byrnes. McKeen hosted ‘Gals Who Write Songs’ for 9 years at The Duncan Showroom and performed several ‘Acoustic Nights’ at the Queens. She gigs at festivals, wineries, pubs, weddings, celebrations, lounges, coffeehouses, House Concerts and other event venues, in BC, Alberta, Ontario and Newfoundland and is a regular favourite at Vancouver Island Farm Markets for over 25 years.
