This 1.5-day summit, presented by Nutrien, will bring together up to 200 Indigenous and non-Indigenous leaders in the agribusiness sector to generate collaboration and inclusion, discuss opportunities, and gather data to assess program needs in relation to interests and requirements of First Nations and agriculture sector partners. It is our hope that by hosting this summit we will be able to gather the resources available (i.e. land) and needing the tools (i.e., expertise, access to markets) to support Indigenous participation in the sector, from production to marketing.
All proceeds generated from registration fees for the Beyond the Harvest Summit will be donated to the SIIT Awards program. Through the SIIT Student Awards program, students studying in post-secondary and trades and industrial programs at SIIT locations across Saskatchewan are provided with access to financial aid in order to support their studies, reach their educational goals, and move forward on their journeys.
