Adam Shoalts, national best-selling author, renowned adventurer and explorer, will talk about his newest book, Beyond the Trees: A Journey Alone Across Canada's Arctic, and share pictures and stories from his harrowing, nearly 4,000 km solo canoe journey across Canada's arctic. Shoalts has been called "one of Canada's greatest living explorers," and was named "Canada's Indiana Jones" by the Toronto Star. In 2016 he was named a national champion of the Trans-Canada Trail and is Explorer-in-Residence at the Royal Canadian Geographical Society. He is the author of the #1 national best-seller Alone Against the North and A History of Canada in 10 Maps. Shoalts is a regular guest on Canadian TV and radio.
