About this event
Guest speakers from the Agroforestry and Woodlot Society of Alberta and from NAIT's Centre for Boreal Research will introduce the idea of ecobuffer design and the use of native species. They will talk about basic details of shelterbelt planting--like site selection, species selection, and care of transplants--and will also present on designing for ecological values and use of native species. Propagation techniques for you to source your own native species will also be discussed. Come out for a light supper and an evening of learning and brainstorming for your spring planting projects.
