Join the Montreal Park People Network for a fun and informative presentation on Mount Royal!
Take part in a themed walk, speak with a panel of municipal experts, participate in a collaborative workshop on the issues that matter to you, and enjoy a drink while networking with other park enthusiasts.
To this end, Ms. Caroline Bourgeois, who is in charge of the Service of large parks, Mount Royal, sports and recreation, Espace pour la vie, Jean-Drapeau Park and the East End of Montreal, will address the participants.

Given the bad weather, the hikes are canceled but the rest of the event will continue as scheduled. Meet us at the Lac-aux-Castors pavilion at 4:20 p.m. to participate in the round table, the participatory workshop and the networking cocktail.
4:45 pm | Roundtable
Come talk to some experts from the City of Montreal's parks to learn how to better collaborate on the protection, planning and animation of your parks and green spaces!
The roundatble will be moderated by:
- Pauline Wolff, Ph.D., Innovation, Community Engagement and Transition Researcher, Centre d’étude en responsabilité sociale et écocitoyenneté (CÉRSÉ), Collège de Rosemont
The roundtable will feature the following experts:
- Isabelle Girard, Division Head - Public Consultation and Mount Royal Office - Management of Parks and Natural Areas - Service des grands parcs, du Mont-Royal et des sports
- Catherine Brouillette, Sustainable Development Research Officer, Rosemont La-Petite-Patrie borough
- Luc Castonguay, Urban planner and Director, Direction du développement du territoire et des études techniques, arrondissement Rivière-des-Prairies–Pointe-aux-Trembles.
6:15 pm | Workshop
Join the collaborative workshop to have a concrete discussion on the best ways to care for your parks and green spaces, in collaboration with the City of Montreal and other stakeholders. The workshop is organized in collaboration with the Centre d'écologie urbaine de Montréal (CEUM).
You can choose from the following four themes:
- Green Parks: Protection of parks and green spaces
- Engaged Parks: Community Engagement for and in parks
- Social Parks: Animation and planning for inclusive parks
- Shared Parks: Park governance and collaborative management.
