L’Alliance Française Ottawa en partenariat avec la Maison de la Francophonie d’Ottawa et la compagnie française « Alcoléa & Cie » organise un ciné-concert « En plein dans l’œil » le 23 février 2022.

Ce ciné-concert se compose de 12 films représentatifs du génie de Georges Méliès, inventeur du 7ème art et des effets spéciaux. Sur scène, trois musiciens virtuoses, en parfaite symbiose avec l’image, insufflent un nouvel élan à ces pépites cinématographiques. Utilisant une multitude d’instruments, ils donnent vie à un spectacle sur scène comme à l’écran, d’une inventivité qui fait écho à la créativité de Méliès. Avec plus de 500 représentations en Europe et en Amérique du Nord, En plein dans l’œil est un concentré d’émotions et de découvertes. Actuel, poétique et ludique, il s’adresse aussi bien aux enfants, aux adolescents qu’aux adultes.

Alliance Française Ottawa, in partnership with la Maison de la Francophonie d’Ottawa and the French troop « Alcoléa & Cie » organize the movie-concert “Right in the eye” on February 23.

Through 12 timeless silent films, this multimedia show offers a very unique and modern rendition of the poetic and playful universes of George Méliès.

Right in the eye presents a special orchestration, performed by 3 live musicians, with a multitude of instruments, many of which are rare or totally original. Together with the image, the musicians bring a new life to these cinematographic gems. This show is both on stage and on screen, with an inventiveness that echoes Méliès creativity. Right in the Eye is a show that reimagines the early years of cinema and takes its audiences on an emotional journey of discoveries. It is enjoyed by adults and children alike.
