Pionnier de la génétique moderne, Daniel Cohen est cofondateur et directeur général de Pharnext, une société de biotechnologie spécialisée dans la découverte de combinaisons moléculaires pour lutter contre les maladies neurodégénératives.

Comptant plus de 30 ans d’expérience dans l’industrie biotechnologique et pharmaceutique, il a notamment été directeur scientifique chez Genset (société acquise par Serono) et vice-président Genetics Worldwide de l’Institut Génétique Serono. Il est également parmi les fondateurs du Généthon, au sein duquel il a géré l'équipe qui a effectué les premières cartographies du génome humain en 1993.

Le Dr Cohen est aussi co-fondateur de Millennium Pharma et du Centre d'étude du polymorphisme humain (CEPH), il est l’auteur de 150 publications dans des revues internationales.


A pioneer in modern genetics, Daniel Cohen is cofounder and CEO of Pharnext, a biotechnology company specializing in the discovery of molecular combinations to combat neurodegenerative diseases.

With more than 30 years of experience in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industry, he was CSO of Genset (a company acquired by Serono) and Vice President Genetics Worldwide of Serono Genetics Institute. He is also one of the founders of Genethon, where he managed the team in charge of the first mapping of the human genome in 1993.

Dr. Cohen is also co-founder of Millennium Pharma and the Human Polymorphism Study Center (CEPH), and is the author of 150 international peer-reviewed publications.
