McGill University Business Engagement Center (MUBEC) from the office of Innovation & Partnership and the Faculty of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences present the McGill Agri-food Innovation Network Panel discussion. On November 15th, representatives from industry, McGill community (researchers, students and other services), research institutions and granting agencies are invited to share their thoughts on the following topic: "How do we get more competitiveness from open innovation in agri-food".
The primary objectives of this event is to share information with participants regarding open innovation; that it constitutes a major approach to improve the innovation culture at McGill University, at research institutions as well as industry partners. Participants will also discuss the challenges in the translation of university-based advancements to industry and the innovation culture within the agri-food industry.
In addition, the event will introduce and promote the McGill-Initia Research Consortium, which was recently created in conjunction with the Ministry of Agriculture of the Government of Quebec (MAPAQ).
