Summer school – Social Business Creation

The Social Business Creation Summer school offers a unique opportunity to future entrepreneurs and consultants to learn about social entrepreneurship and participate in the co-creation process of emerging social enterprises. This intensive training week features several lectures, hands-on workshops, and business visits. Participants will discover different social business models, approaches to stakeholder engagement, methods to create and measure social impacts, and so on. This experience is an opportunity for you to be introduced to social business and strengthen your potential as consultants and coaches. It is also a great opportunity to build an international community of entrepreneurs and change-makers. Let’s get insprired!

Monday, September 10

Training on storytelling at HEC Montreal:

  • 9h – 10h: "Welcome & program overview" by Mai Thai, Professor at HEC Montreal
  • 10h-11h: "How to rally support behind your social cause? The art of storytelling" by Michel Filion, HEC Montreal
  • 11h-12h: "The art of pitching" by Guy Gervais, HumanID.

Co-creation activities at HEC Montreal:

  • 12h – 17h: Participants critique business models presented by candidates of Social Business Creation competition. You will practice your consulting skills while participating in the co-creation process of social business development.
  • 17h – 18h: Debriefing with Mai Thai, Professor at HEC Montreal.
