THE EVENINGS TOPICS
UNDERSTANDING INFORMED CONSENT
Sometimes it is hard to remember that every procedure or test that happens in your pregnancy, birth and postpartum is your choice. While it may seem like an obvious thing to receive, informed consent is often missed for many birthing people. What does informed consent actually mean? What kind of questions should you ask to make sure you get all the information you need to make your choices? Dr. Briana will be going into further detail to help you understand informed consent and how to practice it. This topic is the back bone of Birth Talks - in fact, we cover it at every speaker series! That is how important it is!
