We have partnered with business and art centres across Ontario to deliver the Biz Smarts webinars. By visiting one of our partnering centres you will receive additional resources and information that will not be covered in the webinars as well as the chance to network and exchange ideas with peers and experts.

Building a brand is an important part of your artistic practice and the life of your organization.

From navigating your way through the media, amplifying and positioning your "voice," and maximizing social media potential to help build your brand and fill seats, Jason Maghanoy will help guide you through the steps to develop a successful content and marketing strategy for your arts organization/creative practice in today's radically changing engagement economy.

Jason Maghanoy is considered one of the most exciting young artists and city builders in the City of Toronto. As a playwright, his plays have been produced across Canada and internationally, and he has been the playwright-in-residence at Theatre Passe Muraille and Young People's Theatre, as well a Finalist for the Lila Acheson Wallace American Playwriting Fellowship at Juilliard. As a city builder, Jason has advisory and leadership roles with some of the most dynamic organizations in the city including: NXT, Business for the Arts, WorkInCulture and CivicAction. Currently, Jason is the Director of Sales Strategy & Partnerships at NOW, leading an exciting transformation of one of the most respected media companies in Canada.

How can I participate in the webinars?

You can participate in the webinars by attending a webinar event at your local art/business centre. You will receive an e-mail with the address of the centre in your city once you have RSVPd.

What should I expect by attending my local art/business centre?

The centres will provide an opportunity for you to network, to meet business counselors/coaches, receive additonal resources, and have further questions answered. It is also an opportunity to actively begin your business planning process.
