Event Information
Description
BizOnDeck is back! *new location*
We have moved BizOnDeck to the event room at White Spot ~ please come at 6 pm and have dinner with us.
We have two long-time LIFT members pitching their updates!
Joyce from Speedibin Composters
About Speedibin
We produce backyard composters designed to keep out rats and be easy to use. Rats are one of the main reasons that people don't compost at home. We have had a lot of happy customers with the Speedibin composter and now we want to make a big design change to make them tougher and hopefully cheaper. There will be cedar posts on the corners and corrugated sheet metal sides and a locking lid and a metal bottom screen. They look cuter too. We are thinking of calling them the Bunkerbin and it would be a new product, maybe replacing the Speedibin.

Kyrle from Prisym Renewable Developments Inc.
About Prisym
Prisym Renewable Developments is a Solar Energy Company in the Comox Valley that has been operating for 2 years. We have several updates to share with everyone and are seeking advice on our next moves forward. We will soon be opening a showroom in Courtenay and are looking for advice on how to grow sustainably over the next 5 years while maintaining a conscious balance between risk and financial strength.
Our main services are:
1) solar energy system design and installation
2) building energy efficiency assessments and upgrade recommendations
We are focused on two customer segments; homeowners, and builders/building designers. Our sales are trust and relationship based and we pride ourselves in offering an exceptional customer experience that empowers and educates our clients on their options with achieving a balance between upgrading a building combined with installing a modest solar system.

-
6:50pm Everyone in their seats for "hard start" at 7pm: We will workshop the first business "on deck" for 45 minutes. They give a 3 minute summary of their business, including opportunities, challenges, what they can give to the round table, what they need help with. We respond with 42 minutes of questions, feedback, and help. We also have a template that asks about customer/client acquisition, activation, retention, referral, and revenue (Pirate Metrics, see below). The second business "on deck" is updating us on an earlier pitch and ask.
PIRATE METRICS
We will draw on Boris Mann's workshop using the Pirate Metrics model. For more on AARRR metrics, see http://j.mp/2DvbvrV
