About this event
On behalf of African Caribbean Canadian Association of Northern Ontario(ACCANO) We are inviting you to our 2023 Annual Black History Month Celebration Dinner.
Accano was formed in 2011 as a non for profit, non political, and non-denominational volunteer led group. Our vision is to foster and leave a legacy of our cultural heritage by contributing to the economic, social and civic development of Canadian society through active and equitable integration of our members. Black History Month is an opportunity to celebrate the achievements and contributions of Black Canadians as well as share the history and culture of Black Canadians.
The Dinner will be held on Saturday, February 25th, 2023 from 5:00pm at the Bushplane Museum, 50 Pim Street, Sault Ste. Marie, ON P6A 3G4. The event will feature colourful and multicultural menu, live music, dance, art exhibits, fashion show, door prizes, and a cash bar among other exciting activities.
The theme for this year’s celebration is Transformative Journeys which will be the focus of the keynote speech and other activities. All proceeds from the dinner will go towards supporting ACCANO Scholarship funds at Algoma University and Sault College.
