For Black History/Futures Month, Black and Indigenous leaders from Waterloo Region talk about their activism, organizing, and advocacy.
About this event
The past couple of years has been contextualized by the looming COVID-19 pandemic; however in Waterloo Region, Ontario we also saw a shift in discussions about anti-Black racism and colonialism, largely sparked by the KW Solidarity march for Black Lives and O:se Kenhionhata:tie (Land Back Camp).
We invite you to a panel featuring Black and Indigenous leaders involved with these two social justice movements. They will discuss the impacts of these movements and how their activism, organizing, and advocacy has transformed since 2020.
