About this event
Thrive and shine with Black Joy Sundays! ☀️
Black Joys Sundays is a FREE monthly wellness initiative dedicated to Black self-care, Black healing, and Black empowerment.
Through a joint partnership with DESTA and BMHC MTL, Black Joys Sundays will offer a safe(r) space for members of the Black community to navigate their mental, physical and emotional health and cope with everyday stressors in their lives through different activities and healing modalities.
Topics that are relevant to the Black community will be explored in an intimate setting. No judgment whatsoever, Black Joy Sundays is a space to heal, reflect, and grow.🌿
Our 1st session will start with a Hatha Yoga session led by Kesha @yogawithkesha, followed by a BMHC-led workshop on self-care and understanding the body’s ways of communicating its needs. We'll be discussing what self-evaluation can look like, how to advocate for one’s self, and what building or re-building self trust can look like.
Snacks and refreshments will be served.
Black Joys Sundays will take place on every 3rd Sunday of each month. Join us for our official launch on May 15, 2022 from 2-5 PM at DESTA Black Youth Network!
Space is limited, and registration is required, so sign up today!
