First and foremost, we acknowledge this event will take place on the traditional territories of the Algonquin Anishinaabeg people. Today, this land is home to many diverse First Nations, Metis and Inuit people and we are grateful to have the opportunity to work in this territory.

A Black Queer Excellence party will be exactly as it sounds: A celebration of Black Queer presence in the Ottawa area! This mix and mingle social affair with refreshments, local performances, and plenty of familiar and new faces to help set the mood to make 2020 even BLACKER and QUEERER!

A note about the venue: The 27 Club has a side wheelchair accessible entrance and washroom on the first floor for folx who aren't able to use the washrooms located in the basement. Washrooms will be marked as gender-neutral for the night and naloxone and other harm reduction equipment will be on hand. The event will be free entry. As any rules of non-profit, alcohol can not be provided. The 27 club is a cash bar only with ATM's nearby. It's centrally located in the Byward Market.
