The Black, White, and Blood Gala is a fun-raising event put on by the women’s group, L’EMBA, to raise post-secondary scholarship money for Carya’s Sirius Girls program. All proceeds from the event go towards funding scholarships for at-risk grade 10 and 11 girls.
The event includes a cocktail reception with FREE hors d’oeuvres and welcome drink, below market cash bar (beer and wine), a silent auction (with awesome stuff!), a 50/50 draw (money!), and then…. the showing of a classic film, Alfred Hitchcock’s PSYCHO - in a classic theatre, the Globe Cinema. All for $35!
Plus, dress up in the Black, White, and BLOOD theme, and get a chance to win the Grand Prize!
Oh no! You're not able to come? We're so sad you won't be there. BUT, never fear! If you'd still like to contribute to this great cause, please send an email money transfer to firstname.lastname@example.org.
About Sirius Girls
Sirius Girls is a pilot program which supports vulnerable grade 10 and 11 girls, providing them with tools to increase their confidence, resiliency, and provide leadership in their community. The ultimate goal is for the girls to complete high school and launch successfully into adulthood. The program aids girls in developing life skills and provides them with opportunities to practice these skills through community projects they identify as areas of interest within their communities.
