Event description
The Blanket Exercise: The Experiences of Indigenous Peoples in Canada

About this Event

We are pleased to welcome Marjolaine Lapointe from KPRDSB to facilitate the Blanket Exercise. This opportunity is open to school-age program educators working in early learning and care programs in Peterborough city and county.

The KAIROS Blanket Exercise is a workshop that explores the nation-to-nation relationship between Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples in Canada. Blankets arranged on the floor represent land and participants are invited to step into the roles of First Nations, Inuit and later Métis peoples.

This training opportunity is a joint learning opportunity through the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Sub-Committee, Investing in Quality and the Kawartha Pine Ridge District School Board.
