Layla Staats will be presenting her film, “Blood and Water” a self-narrated documentary exposing light on the modern-day impact and generational trauma from residential schools. Following the viewing of the film, there will be a talkback with Layla.
Layla is Mohawk Turtle Clan from the Six Nations of the Grand River and in this film, shares her family’s journey to reclamation. The film is being presented to honour National Indigenous History Month.
Doors will open at 6:30 PM and the film will begin at 7 PM. Tickets can be purchased for $20 and proceeds will be going towards Land Back.
