Blue Waiting: A collection of two poets from east to west coast

A special evening of poetry as two poets, one from Canada’s East Coast and one from right here in BC join forces to read from their brand-new collection of poems. Join Sean Wiebe and Celeste Snowber as delve into life on the water’s edge. Sean Wiebe lives in Charlottetown and is an associate professor of education at the University of Prince Edward Island. Celeste Snowber is a writer, poet and educator, who is an Associate Professor in the Faculty of Education at Simon Fraser University. She is also currently Artist in Residence at the UBC Botanical Garden where she creates performances of dance and poetry each season. The poems found in this new book have been formed by the geography of living. This geography takes shape in the edges of islands, mountains, families and most of all the terrain of inner life. In two voices, Blue Waiting explores the many issues facing the coasts from both a male and female perspective.

This author talk is free with museum admission.
