Event description

Description

On October 31st Blue Drinks Toronto and Civic Tech Toronto are teaming up to share ideas as part of Ontario Water Innovation Week. Sylvie Spraakman and Jill Crumb will be sharing their experience as finalists in the AquaHacking 2017 Challenge. They are developing CyanoSleuth, a citizen science monitoring kit and app that can help lakeside communities track blooms and find out when its safe to swim. Afterwards, if you have your own ideas for data projects or tools that could engage the public with water issues, there will be a breakout session to talk them over with people who work in water, data, planning, civic engagement, academia, and more. And then, of course, the Drinks. Put on your water costumes and come on out for a very spo-o-o-ky night of water innovation!

This registration is for attendees from Blue Drinks Toronto, attendees of Ontario Water Innovation Week, and interested water professionals.
