Bolstering vaccine confidence among frontline workers
Event Information
About this event
Evidence in Canada and the US shows that vaccine hesitancy has steadily increased over the past year. As organizations enter Q2 and vaccines become available for larger numbers of frontline workers, bolstering vaccine confidence amongst employees will be important in accelerating economic recovery. Social science research shows that there are steps your organization can take today to start building vaccine confidence amongst staff, including engaging frontline staff in planning.
Bridgeable is currently engaged in a partnership with a group of American Universities who are leaders in the medical anthropology and public health space on a study that aims to bolster vaccine confidence in vulnerable populations. The objective of the study is to better understand the barriers and facilitators to vaccine acceptance, and to use human-centred design to help communities increase vaccine confidence.
In this event, we’ll speak to our field work in the US, and provide a primer on evidence-based best practices for encouraging vaccine confidence, which includes communications strategies, social norming, and enabling environments. We’ll also suggest best practices that your organization can use for building confidence amongst your frontline staff using human-centred design.
