BOM YEG x The Green Room Summer Pop-Up Series

The Black-Owned Market Edmonton (BOM YEG) x The Green Room Summer Pop-up Series features a number of creative workshops and community spaces. It's intended to be a space for youth and community to come together for a series of unique experiences. Please note that there are three separate event tickets and you will need a ticket for each activity that you wish to partake in.

Art in the Park is facilitated by Jamelle Davis a multi-media visual artist, in Central McDougall Park.

Wellness in the Park is a community space that will feature custom coloring pages from Brnesh Berhe a digital artist based in Edmonton.This will be hosted on Alberta Avenue

Campfire cooking is an outdoor culinary workshop in partnership with wâposo-wâti (Rabbit Den) park

Each event is by donation so that you can pay what you can, no one will be turned away for lack of funds.

We invite residents of Central McDougall, Queen Mary Park, and the wider YEG community to join us for our first BOM YEG and Green Room Collaboration for a unique experience. This event provides a place for you to get outside and enjoy the sunshine as you meet other community members.

This artistic workshop and communal space is an opportunity to explore history, place, and belonging through the use of creative mediums. We want to hold space for community to unpack what it means to gather and live on treaty 6 especially in the wake of current events. Join us to build community ties, explore visual art and unwind.

Our facilitator is Jamelle Davis of JD Art- he is an artist, clothing designer and community builder based here in Edmonton.
