Description

We invite you to join the Building Managers and Owners Association Toronto (BOMA Toronto) and CivicAction’s Mental Health in the Workplace MindsMatter team on May 26th for a conversation about mental health in the workplace.

Hosted at Trillium Health Partners in Mississauga, this breakfast event will feature an engaging panel discussion, round table discussions, and a networking session where attendees will discuss how to better support mental health in diverse workplaces.

Research released by CivicAction last year estimates that half of the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area (GTHA) workforce has experienced a mental health issue. In response, CivicAction and the region’s civic and business leaders launched a ground-breaking program – MindsMatter - that leverages the workplace as a resource for mental health, converts intentions to actions, and mobilizes the region’s employers to make measureable progress.

Dr. Ian Dawe, Program Chief and Medical Director of Mental Health, will share opening remarks on behalf of Trillium Health Partners.

Panelists will include:

  • (Moderator) Linda Weichel VP, Initiatives at CivicAction

  • Chris MacDonald – Associate Vice President, Wellness, Disability & Life at Manulife

  • Adrian Lawford – Associate Vice President, Retail Products at TD Bank Group

  • Monika Mielnik, Senior Consultant - Human Resources (Workplace Health) at Bell

A light breakfast will be provided.

Before attending, be sure to take CivicAction’s MindsMatter assessment to learn about where your organization is at in supporting workplace mental health.
