Event description

Description

"To think upstream, we must fold into our own lives as doctors a radical type of imagination. This starts by understanding the patient in front of us, then the economic, political and social forces that impact their health, and then dare to imagine and articulate future laws, systems, and ways of being that express our collective vision for health." - Dr. Vincent Lam

This book is about transforming medicine, and more than that, it is about the way we think about health.

Come and learn about a revealing, forward-thinking book which contains a series of interviews by medical students of practising physicians. Through their experiences, readers are introduced to practitioners who live the philosophy that, to truly impact the health of their patients, they need to work at both the individual and societal levels. The ideas in this book are relevant within medicine and beyond.

Speakers include Dr. Ritika Goel, Dr. Vincent Lam, Vivian Tam, and Upstream's Executive Director, Dr. Monika Dutt. The event is presented by Upstream, an organization dedicated to creating a healthy society.

We look forward to seeing you there!

Please RSVP by September 22nd.
