In this creative class, participants create a unique Book Nook diorama complete with LED lights!

Each participant will get the opportunity to paint and assemble their lasercut book nook, learning painting and collage techniques for miniature making and coming up with creative uses for found materials. There is no right way to make this book nook- set your imagination free to create a tiny world.

Participants are encouraged (but not required) to bring any tiny found items or materials that they wish to include in their diorama.

No experience with woodworking, LEDs or electronics is needed for this class- all the wood pieces and the electrical circuit come pre-cut and pre-made, and materials will be provided.

Participants will leave with a professional-grade booknook that will be a magical addition to any home library or bookshelf.

Is there an age limit to enter the event?

The minimum age for participants is 13 years old with a guardian or 18 otherwise.

What are my parking options at MakerLabs?

MakerLabs' parking lot is located on the east side of the building on the corner of Hawks Avenue and East Cordova Street.

How do I cancel or reschedule my class?

Refunds (minus Eventbrite fees) or credit for future classes and orientations will only be provided if we are notified by email to hello@makerlabs.com at least 24 hours in advance of the class. For cancellation less than 24 hours before the class, we do not provide a refund but we do offer a 50% credit towards a future class or orientation. No refunds or credits will be provided for no shows.

What happens if I show up late?

Please arrive 15 minutes before the schedule start of the class so that it can start on time. Attendees arriving more than 5 minutes late will not be allowed in the class.
