During this 90-minute interactive session, Amy Lynch, host and producer at the Mixing Babies And Business™ Podcast, will address key areas when it comes to being an interview guest on a podcast, as well as how to plan for the launch, creation and promotion of your very own podcast from home.

You're guaranteed to leave feeling inspired and equipped with a better idea of what podcasting involves before you decide which next step is best for you to pursue for your business or brand.

During this session, Amy will cover:

- Pros and cons of podcasting

- Her step-by-step DIY podcast workflow

- Outlines for each step of the way

- Examples of her processes

- Behind-the-scenes of her tech setup

- Options to explore for promoting your own podcast

This workshop will include time for a Q&A and participant interaction is encouraged throughout the session.

ABOUT THE PRESENTER

Amy Lynch believes everyone deserves to design a life that works for them and their family. Over the past decade, she has negotiated remote work arrangements, freelance client work and validated business ideas, in between living and working in Canada, England, Ireland and Australia (and having two kids).

After becoming a parent in 2016, she became an accidental activist and started to produce parent-friendly professional development.

Since 2018, Amy has had the opportunity of speaking about creating more inclusive spaces and programming for parents and their families to audiences through conferences, workshops, webinars and interviews.

She launched and hosted her Mixing Babies And Business™ Podcast from home during the pandemic producing two seasons over 30 episodes and her work was recognized as one of Canada's Top 100 Recovery Projects by Future of Good in 2020.

ABOUT THE WE-CAN PROJECT

The WE-CAN Project is led by Queen’s University and supported by the Government of Canada. Its mission is to inspire and empower existing and aspiring women entrepreneurs by providing them with tools, resources, expert mentors, networks and community building to expand existing businesses and to launch new ventures.

The Government of Canada, through FedDev Ontario’s Women Entrepreneurship Strategy (WES) Ecosystem Fund is providing $3.2 million for Queen’s University to design and deliver programs and services to accelerate, train, mentor and provide resources to women entrepreneurs and women-led companies in the community.

The focus of the WES strategy is to provide support to women entrepreneurs from diverse and underrepresented groups.
