Description

ABOUT THE TOUR

Adventure back to Calgary's early days, when our city was notorious as “the booze, brothel, and gambling capital" of the Canadian West.

We'll walk the same streets that 120 years ago were only dirt roads on the banks of the Bow and Elbow Rivers. You'll hear some unbelievable stories about the people, places, and politics of Calgary's still robust sex industry, which, although begrudgingly acknowledged, is rarely visible to those who aren't looking for it.

Let's go find it -- together!

Learn more at www.yycsexworkwalkingtour.weebly.com.

The tour takes place in Treaty 7 Territory, where the Elbow River meets the Bow, on the hereditary homelands of the Niitsitapi (the Blackfoot Confederacy: Siksika, Piikani, and Kainai), the Îyârhe Nakoda, and Tsuut'ina Nations, and of the Métis Nation of Alberta, Region III.
