Description

This is the inaugural Breast Reconstruction Awareness (B.R.A) Day in the Okanagan Valley.

BRA Day is a FREE educational event that brings together:

  • doctors specializing in breast reconstruction,
  • bra fitting and breast prosthetic experts
  • women who have been through reconstruction


All to help women who are currently going through their breast cancer journey.

This event is designed to present an overview of the surgical procedures and non surgical options available. Women will have the opportunity to connect to resources including other women who have been through reconstruction.

AGENDA

  • Presentations from breast reconstruction surgeons (Surgeons & Topics TBA)
  • Presentation from bra fitting and breast prosthetics specialist (Angela O'Brien -Esteem Lingerie)
  • Show & Tell Lounge where women can see the real-life results of breast reconstruction and speak with women who have had reconstruction.
  • Exhibit Area with products and services to help women who have been affected by breast cancer
  • Snacks and Refreshments provided for all attendees

WHO IS INVITED

  • Women considering post-mastectomy or post lumpectomy breast reconstruction.
  • Women who have breast reconstruction
  • Support person(s) female or male
  • Healthcare professionals that work with women affected by breast cancer.
