About this Event
Convergence Conference 2020 - Pre-Conference Town Hall With Cybera
This session will review existing digital resources for Alberta’s K-12 school districts, particularly those that are supporting operational efficiencies and improving digital literacy. It will also identify gaps. The goal of this town hall session is to brainstorm new projects or services for the K-12 sector that Cybera can begin implementing.
Representatives from Cybera will also provide an overview of services it currently offers to K-12, including:
- Internet Buying Group (the internet bulk buying program)
- Peering (direct connections to major web providers)
- Virtual Firewall Service
- ShareIT (Shared Procurement/PD and Training)
This is an opportunity for participants to learn more about the work Cybera is doing to help Alberta’s educational institutions, as well as build new programs that will serve this sector over the next several years.
