Tia Fomenoff, Director of Talent and Culture, Thinkific

Tia Fomenoff switched to the tech world a few years ago from a non-profit and tourism background, she picked up a few skills along the way, especially in the areas of social media strategy, customer success, content marketing, community management, product marketing and growing start-up teams.

Previously at high-growth tech companies Unbounce and Buffer, Tia is now the Director of People and Culture at Thinkific.

Stefanie McAuley, Senior Manager, Partnership Marketing, PressReader

As a writer and marketing specialist, Stefanie’s worked with some of the biggest brands around the globe. Brands like Quiksilver, Roxy, Tim Hortons, Nike, Adidas, Warner Bros., Coca-Cola, Stella Artois, Vancouver Giants, Chelsea FC, Arsenal FC, MAC cosmetics, and Benefit cosmetics have turned to her for thoughtful strategic-planning and effective creative writing.

Over the last decade, she’s lived in four different countries, on three different continents. She accredits her expertise in communications to working at Hearst Magazines UK in London, with some of the biggest names in media. And her time spent in Ghana running events and working as a consultant inspired the work of her first novel – coming soon!

Now, back in Vancouver, she’s taken her skills to the world of tech as the Senior Manager of Partnership Marketing at PressReader, the world’s largest digital newsstand. Here, she works with more than 7,000 global publications like Vogue, The Washington Post and Fast Co. to help their brands evolve into their digital strategy, while being distributed through thousands of business partners including Cathay Pacific, Fairmont Hotels and New York Public Library.

Stef’s lifestyle blog, Broad World, features women who boldly create their own futures, and hunt down success with sustainability and mindfulness.

In her spare time Aiza volunteers for Girls Learning Code and assists a parish church with their computer needs. She is also part of the music ministry at her church, which brings balance to her life as it affords her a break from geeking out on computers.
