Put bells on your shoes, a spring in your step and join the Brigeland Elves. In 2016, the Bridgeland Elves will gather donations and wrap Christmas gifts for 40 low-income seniors living in Bridgeland. The Elves are also gathering funds to buy groceries for their Christmas Dinner.
The gift drive runs from November 14 to December 14, 2016. The items needed for the gift drive are listed as "tickets" which will open in a new tab when you click "register" in the top right corner of this page. Please let us know which items you are going to purchase and donate by selecting the number of "tickets" you wish to contribute and registering by clicking on the register button. This allows us to make sure we end up with the correct number of each item.
Once you have done your elf shopping, please drop off your items at the Bridgeland Riverside Community Hall Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm. The address is 917-Centre Ave NE. Park in the lot on the south side of the building and go to the south door. Please call Pam at the hall at 403-475-1700 to confirm she will be able to receive your donation on the day you wish to drop off. If you need to arrange to drop off your items at an alternate time, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org to make a plan. We are happy to accomodate. The workshop needs your items by Wednesday December 14, 2016.
Children and adults are invited to join the crew of 20 Bridgeland Elf volunteers needed to wrap the gifts on Sunday December 18, 2016 from 1:30pm to 3:00pm. This is an afternoon rich with connection, contribution and of course Christmas treats. The local Boy Scout troup from the Our Lady of Perpetual Help will then deliver the gifts and sing for the seniors. If you are available to volunteer, please sign up under the "ticket" called "volunteer to wrap gifts." Thank you!
