We are absolutely thrilled to announce our upcoming women’s symposium, titled Bridges, Not Walls 2017 taking place on March 25th at the Victoria Conference Centre.
As a women’s organization working to end cycles of violence against women, we see it as imperative to be part of the rising social movement led by women. We have expanded our annual International Women’s Day fundraising event into a symposium. Held on the UN’s Orange Day to Unite to End Violence against Women, the event is officially patronaged by the Lieutenant Governor and will host powerful women speakers and panelists to inspire hope among women of all ages and backgrounds.
Keynote: the one and only female Prime Minister of Canada, Rt. Hon. Kim Campbell
After our Keynote speaker, you are invited to join us after the symposium for a delicious lunch, featuring a leadership panel discussing the important questions of today and strategies for women moving forward. Our annual luncheon will feature delightful opportunities to help us to raise funds for Bridges' programs, specifically our Professional Trauma Counselling Services for Women, and our W'SANEC First Nations programs offered on-reserve, as we are serving more women than ever before.
All women, of all ages and backgrounds, are welcome. Are you a youth or person of low income wishing to be part of this dynamic women's symposium? Send us a half page description of why you and your group should be there to firstname.lastname@example.org
