Students will gain current and relevant knowledge on the importance of simulation for the success in any health care profession and for any health care organization.

Who will benefit?

Are you an educator, simulation centre staff, or researcher interested in learning the key educational elements and contexts for running effective simulations in a health care training setting? Then we encourage you to enrol.

What will I learn?

You will learn the fundamental practical tools of simulation that can be applied across all forms of experiential and simulation exercises, including:

  • Briefing: Key elements for effective briefing, including learner engagement
  • Debriefing: Key elements for effective debriefing, including feedback
  • Facilitation: Including how to increase or decrease the intensity of a simulation
  • Simulation resources: The use of resources for the most effective educational impact
  • Reflective practice: The essential learning principles for deeper exploration of experience gained from the simulation
