Niagara Bruce Trail's Annual Fort to Fort Hike
Take part in this popular 2 day annual event. Hike along the Niagara River Recreational Trail from Fort George in Niagara-on-the-Lake to Old Fort Erie. Total distance is approximately 54 km, averaging 27 km each day. The terrain is mostly flat, paved paths.
There will be three checkpoints each day, with refreshments and snacks at each location. Scuttlebutt has it that the Niagara Club has the best snacks of any club, with fruit, home-made treats, drinks and goodies loaded with sugar!
Day 1: Saturday, April 8th
Meet at Kingsbridge Park on the Niagara Parkway near the Town of Chippawa at 6:45 a.m. Be sure to check in with the organizer before boarding the bus. Bus will leave at 7 a.m. sharp! We will head to Fort George in Niagara-on-the-Lake where we will begin the trek.
Day 2: Sunday, April 9th
Meet again at Kingsbridge Park at 6:45 a.m. Check in with Event co-ordinator before boarding the bus. Bus leaves at 7 a.m. sharp! We will travel to Fort Erie.
Registration is $30 for both days, or $20 for one day. Please register and pay online.

New for 2017!!! Extreme Fort to Fort
This new event is not for the faint of heart! Hike the entire length of the Niagara Parkway in ONE day and then hike the entire length in the opposite direction the next day for a total of 110 km. Registration is $35. This includes F2F badge as well as the Niagara Parkway badge.
Day 1: Meet at Kingsbridge Park at 6:45. Check in with the Event Co-ordinator before boarding the bus. Bus will leave at 7 a..m. sharp. Hike the entire length of the Niagara Parkway Trail starting at Fort George and ending at Fort Erie (approx. 54 km).
Day 2: Meet at Kingsbridge Park at 6:45. Check in with the Event Co-ordinator before boarding the bus. Bus will leave at 7 a.m. sharp. Hike the entire length of the Niagara Parkway Trail starting at Fort Erie.
Please note: For this event, checkpoints are only available for the first half of the course each day. Extreme F2F hikers will be responsible for finding their own way back to Kingsbridge Park and their vehicle at the end of each day.
Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?
This is a self-guided hike of roughly 27 km each day ( Extreme Event is 54 km each day). The path is mostly flat and paved. Hikers should have some experience with this type of distance and terrain.
What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?
There is plenty of parking at Kingsbridge Park.
What can I bring into the event?
Wear comfortable training or hiking shoes. Dress for the weather. Bring drinking water.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
No, but you need to check in with the organizer before you board the bus each day.
Can I update my registration information?
Is my registration fee or ticket transferrable?
No, this is a 'rain or shine' event.
Can I drop out partway through?
If you are unable to finish the hike, you can drop out at one of the checkpoints and the volunteer can drive you back to Kingsbridge Park.
Note: Extreme Event: After the midway point each day, Extreme hikers are on their own and will need to find their own transportation back to their vehicle, even if they are unable to complete the entire distance.
