Matt Basile is back in Winnipeg to celebrate the release of his new cookbook, Brunch Life: Comfort Classics and More for the Best Meal of the Day. Matt and his partner Kyla released their cookbook this Fall, which has already reached Best Seller status!

Matt Basile is the creator of the Toronto-based street-food brand, Fidel Gastro’s. What started off as a pop-up selling street-food in underground markets across the city, soon became the launch of Canada’s most recognizable food trucks. Soon after, his team launched Lisa Marie, a brick and mortar restaurant with the heart of a popup located in Toronto’s fashion district. Matt was also the host of Travel + Escape’s Rebel Without A Kitchen now available on Netflix. Matt and his partner Kyla also released their first cookbook published by Penguin Canada in October 2014 called Street Food Diaries.

Matt loves food and takes great pride in building relationships with farmers who grow and produce the ingredients he uses in his kitchens. Matt has been an ambassador for Canola Eat Well and has invested time with farmers in Manitoba learning the passion behind farming on the prairies. Check out his Farmer for a Day video on YouTube!

Cost: $60.00 which includes three-course meal and a copy of his brand new cookbook, Brunch Life.

Doors open at 5:45.

6:00 - 6:30: Cash bar opens & appetizers.

Dinner program begins promptly at 6:30.
