Event description

Description

Boise CodeWorks and the Boise Public Library are teaming up to offer a weekend-long beginner mobile tapping game design class with Unity. You'll learn about Unity UI, Unity Events, C#, Mobile Deployment (Android), Unity Asset Store, Unity's new Particle Systems, Unity 2.5D.

This course will run from 8:15 a.m.-5 p.m. on Saturday, June 8 and Sunday, June 9.

To participate in this course you will need to be able to attend the full weekend (all hours on both days) and complete these two prerequisites before arriving on Saturday morning:

  • Download, install, and open Unity and Visual Studio on your laptop to ensure it works. (If you don't have a laptop, the Library will provide one for you. Be sure to let us know about your needs in the registration.)
  • Complete the Roll-a-ball tutorial from Unity. This is free, and you can complete it on your own. There will also be one drop-in opportunity to complete the tutorial at the Library before the Unity Intensive Course weekend: Tuesday, June 4th from 5:30p.m.-8:30p.m. in the Gates Room.

Attendees must be 18 years or older to participate. Space is limited for this course, so we encourage you to sign up early.

This program is provided through the generous support of the Boise Public Library Foundation's $17 for '17 campaign.
