Join AMPA over the lunch hour on Thursday, Dec. 5 for the webinar “Building Media Kits that Appeal to Agencies” with Carla Shaw and Robyn Dawson of Kick Media, an Alberta-based media planning and buying business.

All marketing campaigns are based around meeting certain media objectives. In this webinar, Carla and Robyn will discuss these objectives and how they play a role in determining the final media selection for their clients’ needs. They’ll walk through the details of what they look for when evaluating a publication, so that you can learn what media planners and buyers are looking for in you media kit.

The presentation will also explore the various aspects of agency-client relationships, and how to navigate the relationship management process to ensure a strong rapport with agencies and client alike. Carla and Robyn will discuss selling your product on a local, regional and national level, and the variables that influence purchase. 

About the presenters:

Kick Media opened its doors in 2004, however the principles, Carla Shaw and Robyn Dawson, have a combined 40 years of experience within the industry, and a wealth of experience executing both provincial and national media campaigns.

Carla started Kick Media eight years ago and, with more than 20 years in the media business, she brings to the partnership her first-hand knowledge of the national media landscape. Media clients also benefit from Carla’s experience in the Alberta market, where she has built solid relationships with all media vendors and is known for her strong negotiating skills on behalf of her clients.

Robyn joined Kick Media as Partner in early 2008. Her years of experience encompass all aspects of directing, media planning and buying on a diverse account base, both provincially and nationally. Her intensive background in media not only brings a high level of expertise to the table from a planning and research perspective; it brings a passion for developing innovative media solutions for the client.
