About the International African Diaspora Summit

The International African Diaspora Summit will be composed of 3 days of events, all designed to provide a practical implementation of the African Union 6th Region Canada's (AU6RC) founding aspiration to leverage the resources of the African diaspora in North America and around the world in support of the African Union as an institution and its strategic program priorities and initiatives.

Business expo & Socio-Economic Development Summit

About the Event: This summit will bring under one roof the 55 countries of the African continent and 27 countries of the Caribbean, to collaborate, engage and facilitate the accomplishment of the 1+1 million by 2021 Initiative. It will also be the occasion to negociate new business deals  at the Summit Marketplace: a platform uniquely designed to connect businesses and entrepreneurs of the continent to a multinational level.

Time: 10:00 am - 6:00 pm (Onsite registration to start at 9am)

This event follows the Leadership and Empowerment Brunch of Oct. 11, and will be followed by a Youth Empowerment Summit on Oct.13. Those series of events are the first initiatives of the LEAD Campaign in Canada.

ABOUT

The International African Diaspora Summit is part of LEAD Africa : a Youth and Women’s Leadership, Empowerment and Economic Development Campaign designed to mobilize and engage the global African diaspora, to unite as one voice for the "The Africa we all want". LEAD will also support the AU Office of Youth Envoy (OYE) action plan on the four pillars of Education, Employment, Entrepreneurship, and Engagement for the “1 +1 million by 2021 initiative.

‘1+1 million by 2021’ Initiative’ is organized and presented by the African Union, African Union Sixth Region Canada & The Americas.
