CVC's annual Butterfly Blitz is a summer-long citizen science program that is creating a watershed-wide inventory of butterflies.

About the program: Join CVC for our second annual Butterfly Blitz. This summer-long citizen science program is creating a watershed-wide inventory of butterflies in the Credit River Watershed. Individuals learn how to identify different butterfly species in their neighbourhoods and backyards and contribute important data to the program.

About the webinar: Our online training sessions will provide information on how to find and identify butterflies, as well as other helpful tips for your adventures ahead. Registration packages containing useful resources, such as species checklists and maps, will be available online.

Training sessions are scheduled for May 23, 24 and 30 include:

May 23 : i) How to Find Butterflies and ii)Butterfly Identification

May 24: i) How to use iNaturalist and ii) Insect photography with a Smartphone

May 30: Conducting Timed Surveys
