Event description

Description

Can you tell a monarch from a viceroy? Join Ontario Nature and expert biologist James Kamstra, as we lead you on a hike through Stone Road Alvar Nature Reserve to learn about Ontario’s butterfly species. You will learn how to identify common species found in the area and how to make your own backyard more pollinator-friendly.

Make sure to dress for the weather and wear long pants and sturdy closed-toe shoes, as we will be walking off trail for a portion of the event. Space is limited so please register online in advance!

Meeting Location: At the Carolinian Canada sign mid-way down Stone Road on the west side, parking along the road. You can look up directions using google maps (https://goo.gl/h91eF8)

To Bring: Please bring snacks, water and butterfly nets and field guides if you have them.

If you have any questions please contact Kate Douglas, our Member Relations Coordinator at kated@ontarionature.org.
