Workshop also includes access to a dish-alteration service -- i will show you how to create a hole in the bottom of any ceramic container, and offer to create a hole on site in the ceramic bowl your bring!
All the information, insight, and expert advice you could possibly need for keeping your plant addiction thriving and healthy year-round!
Do I have to bring a bowl?
Yes. If you don't have a bowl, you can bring another kind of vessel that is both deep and wide enough for planting 3 small succulents. Bowls are best. Don't hesitate to email firstname.lastname@example.org or tag @fractaline.terrariums on Instagram with questions about your bowl.
Does the bowl have to be ceramic?
To give your plants the healthy environment, proper drainage is key! By altering the bowl and making a drainage hole, your soil will dry out better, and the succulents will grow healthier.
Presently, I can create holes in ceramic OR plastic. If you opt to bring a polcelain or glass bowl, that's okay... but we will be unable to create a drainage hole in these kinds of containers. We will cover techniques for working with these kinds of dishes.
What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?
Metered street parking is available on Duke and MacNab streets nearby the store. There is a parking lot on the Hughson St. between Young St. and Augusta St.
There are several bus stops very nearby.
There is a Sobi Hub close to this venue, but cyclist parking is limited.
This venue is regretably not accessible for some mobility device users.
What can I bring into the event?
Please bring a bowl.
Additional fun, but optional Ideas:
- Tiny decorative trinkets you'd like to incorporate into your garden like small figurines, seasonal/holiday items, favourite gemstones, etc.
- Your favourite pair of gardening gloves if you dislike getting dirt under your nails
How can I contact the organizer with any questions?
Please email any questions to email@example.com or call Nelle Stell at 289.389.6618
Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
Nope! I'll do a head check from my list before we dig in :)
Is it ok if the name on my ticket or registration doesn't match the person who attends?
Yep! If you've decided to give the ticket or tickets at a gift I'd say that's downright delightful! I will ask you for the name of the buyer to check it with my list if they're purchased seperately.
